Help with Animations
May 03, 2018
I have 10 scrolling links that look like a newsfeed on screen, similar to a carousel effect but it's on the timeline. When the timeline ends, I want to restart the timeline so the scrolling newsfeed continues should a learner stay on a page a little longer than my timeline. I have content fly in from the right of screen but when the timeline repeats, so does the animation. The same happened with layers. Is there a way to only trigger the fly in animation once if you want to restart time timeline?
I feel like there should be a simple fix for this other than extending my timeline out to 3 or 4 minutes or removing the fly-in animation.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you're using an entrance animation, when you restart the slide it is going to restart the entrance animation.
You could use a motion path animation that continually loops which wouldn't be tied to the timeline.
Move object on motion path. Then another trigger to motion object on motion path when that animation completes.
I’ll give that a go. I haven’t used motion paths in a while, thanks Tom👍
Tom, I've inserted 3 text boxes as motion paths and they all work, one after the other, each text box enters and exits, like a scrolling news feed. I was hoping I could get them to repeat after the timeline ends, is that possible? I can't see this working without restarting the timeline, am I missing something here?
Here's a quick tutorial. Attached the file, too.
Thanks Tom!
