Help with error in quiz review slide
Mar 11, 2014
Hello
I am having problems with a quiz review slide. I have a matching drag and drop quiz and the results slide has the option to review the quiz. The quiz review slide displays a bar at the bottom that says "Incorrect" even if the user passed the quiz and all answers were correct. Wondering if there is a way of removing this bar at the bottom of the slide. Story file with the quiz and results slide attached here.
I have tried replacing the results slide with a new one using the standard graded results template but the review slide has the same issue. Not sure where I am going wrong.
Also, the review slide has the next button (which I added instead of the submit button) displayed. Is there any way of removing the button from the review slide?
Grateful for any help with this.
Thanks

Hi Sampath,
During quiz review the previous and next buttons will be visible on each slide to allow the user to navigate between slides since the submit button is no longer available. If you'd like to have an option to disable the Prev and Next buttons during quiz review so you can use your own custom navigation buttons, please let us know. We value your feedback.
In regards to your drag and drop slide always being marked as incorrect you'll want to change the slide's revisiting properties to "resume saved state" instead of "reset to initial state" and then you'll see the correct review feedback banner.
Hope that helps and please let us know if you need anything else.
Thanks Ashley. Changing to "resume saved state" fixed the issue. (Though it has now stopped shuffling the answers when I try the quiz again and is displaying the correct answers against each question. That might be because this is technically a single question?)
It would be great to have the option to disable the Prev and Next buttons on the review slide. I will submit a feature request.
I had actually disabled the Submit button and added a custom Next button to go to the results slide and it comes up on the review slide and can't be removed. Perhaps I should stick to the Prev and Next buttons for the navigation and remove the custom button?
Thanks again for the help. This is my first eLearning project and the articulate team and the eLearning community have been a great support.

Hi Sampath,
Glad I could assist you - and in regards to the additional attempts not being shuffled on the retry it's something that has been reported to our Quality Assurance team although I don't have any updates to share on a fix.
I have seen some users who were able to prevent the previous/next buttons from appearing during the review if they removed all the other player elements in the bottom section (volume, seekbar, etc.) so you may want to look into that if you have custom navigation on all your slides and don't need to use those elements else where.
If you need anything else please let us know!
Thanks Ashley

can anyone please tell me, that where is the ""resume saved state " option exist in storyline
Ruchi
in storyview on the bottom right pane or in the cog on the base layer of slide view
Thank you so much for your response Phil.
I got it.
When I change the property to "resume saved state " option, the quiz does not allow the user another attempt to the question failed.
I would like the learner to:
1- answer question correctly > feedback layer > next question
2- answer question incorrectly > feedback layer > try again to answer the question until learner gets it right > next question
I keep the property at Reset State to allow learner to have another shot at answering, resume saved state seems to lock the question, not allowing another attempt.
If I allow unlimited attempts in the setting of the slide, the learner needs to click on all answers until the correct one is found. I would like the learners to learn from their mistakes.
I hope this makes sense
Thanks for chiming in, Eric! It sounds like the "Reset to Initial State" setting works better for your needs. Let me know if you have any questions on this, and I'll be glad to help!
