Help with moving multiple items along same relative path

Sep 11, 2023

I'd like to create a menu that has a circular path and multiple objects. It should spin the selected number to the top if it is clicked on by the user (image below for refence). What is the best way to make this or is it more work than its worth? I'd especially like it if the menu could spin anti-clockwise relative to previous selection. help

Hello Lisa!

Thanks for sharing a screenshot of what you're looking to create! Have you seen this download of a spinning wheel?

It should help with the animations that you're building! If you still need help, I'd recommend sharing your .story file to give us an idea of what you've built so far. You can share it in this discussion or in a support case.

Thanks Lauren,

The spinning wheel file is great except I want the navigation to not be random. I want it to be sequential (forwards or backwards) depending on users selection.

I have attached a file of my project. Ideally I'd like it if the numbered circles could be selected by the user and having the selected item move to the top (the #1's initial position), but instead I have placed the "next" button as an easier alternative because I'm not sure if the former is possible. I was going to disable the "back" button until the sequence is complete because I'm not sure how to move back the circles relative to the position they are in based on users selection.

Hi Lisa!

Thank you for sharing your file! It looks like what you've set up to happen when clicking on the Back and Next buttons would need to be set up for each number graphic.

Have you tried this yet?

Our Support team isn't set up to assist with design help, but we do have so many instructional designers in this community who I know will be happy to help. I'm sure one of them can jump in and help with the setup of your course!
