Hidden button "pops" in initially
Sep 01, 2020
Hi all,
I have a button that is hidden by default and a variable that triggers it's state. This works great until I have another slide that triggers the button back to invisible, so when the slide loads it shows up for a split second and vanishes.
I'm using Change state of X when the timeline starts on this slide, but it allows for the the state to be seen briefly on the initial load. Is there something else I can be doing? Attaching visual.
Thanks!

If the initial state is Hidden, be sure the slide is set to "Return to initial state on Revisit", and you won't need the trigger.
I think that the initial state and the "Change state when timeline starts" trigger may be conflicting each other, but I can't really be sure without seeing the .story file.
Hi Walt, I don't see that option anywhere under the "States" tab. Some more context I'm currently editing my SLIDE MASTER for my question banks. Ideally I have a button that shows up after I get to the "review" slide to let a user jump to the end, then finally during the post grade review that button is hidden once again
That setting is on slide properties.
As a followup this was related to some weird preexisting slide transition property. I selected all my slides and applied a transition of none to them and it was resolved
Hi JKN,
