Hidden Results Page

Hi

Not sure if this is possible but here goes. My client would like to create a quiz whereby the learner is not able to see whether or not they have passed.  Leaving out feedback is the easy part, however, how can the quiz be set up so that the LMS can still report the results?  The quiz will be taken by several groups at a seminar and the group with the highest mark will be awarded. Appreciate any ideas.  Thank you.

Hi Tex,

You could remove references to the score on the slide itself, but as long as the submit triggers are there everything should be transferred to your LMS. If you are worried about removing them entirely, you could always just move the text boxes off the slide so that they're not visible in the published output but still technically "there".

Hi Taylor,

By default, Storyline doesn't show result slides in the menu when previewing or publishing. If you want to display a result slide in your course menu, do the following:

  • Create a new scene in Storyline and give it a meaningful name.
  • Move the result slide to the new scene. It needs to be the only slide in the scene.
  • Adjust the triggers on the feedback layers for the last slide in your quiz, so they jump to the result slide in the new scene.

Let us know if you need anything else!

Actually, if you don't want the learner to see the Results Slide and you want the LMS to show passed/incomplete or completed/incomplete based on a quiz slide (or quiz bank, etc) - you DO need to have a Results Slide that reports against those quiz questions, but you only need to add a Slide Trigger (I put mine on the last slide) that says "Submit results (Results Slide) When the timeline starts (Last slide)" - SCORM Cloud reports the quiz results and "complete" based on quiz scoring. My Results Slide is in it's own scene that is not linked to any other scenes or slides. I hope this helps others.
