Hidden Results Page

Hi
Not sure if this is possible but here goes. My client would like to create a quiz whereby the learner is not able to see whether or not they have passed. Leaving out feedback is the easy part, however, how can the quiz be set up so that the LMS can still report the results? The quiz will be taken by several groups at a seminar and the group with the highest mark will be awarded. Appreciate any ideas. Thank you.

Hi Tex
Haven't tested this but can you overlay the result slide with other content leaving the result slide triggers intact - that way user doesn't interact at all with the result slide and I'd expect the would still report to the LMS.
Hi Tex,
You could remove references to the score on the slide itself, but as long as the submit triggers are there everything should be transferred to your LMS. If you are worried about removing them entirely, you could always just move the text boxes off the slide so that they're not visible in the published output but still technically "there".
One thing we did was have the results slide be blank, and the trigger automatically submitted the results at the start of the timeline, and the slide was only .5 sec long. You couldn't even tell the slide flashed by.
Great ideas - thanks everyone.
Interesting ideas. I have this issue now.
I wonder if I can simply add a Submit Results when timeline starts trigger on the final slide of the program and make it the de facto Results slide.
Hi Jeff,
You'd need to make it a results slide so it knows which questions to track - but you can remove from the slide itself all the elements that showcase the results. For example, I just pulled all the elements off the stage as here, and kept triggers and items intact:
Ashley, thanks. I didn't want to move the slide contents to a new "results" slide though I now see that you need the ability to specify which quiz results to report.
So I went with Ashley's suggestion of creating a very short results slide. That seems to work. Thanks for your help.
No worries Jeff and glad that set up will work for you.
I cant seem to add the "hidden" results slide to the menu though. Ill add it in manually, then when i go back to the menu it is gone.

Hi Taylor,
By default, Storyline doesn't show result slides in the menu when previewing or publishing. If you want to display a result slide in your course menu, do the following:

Actually, if you don't want the learner to see the Results Slide and you want the LMS to show passed/incomplete or completed/incomplete based on a quiz slide (or quiz bank, etc) - you DO need to have a Results Slide that reports against those quiz questions, but you only need to add a Slide Trigger (I put mine on the last slide) that says "Submit results (Results Slide) When the timeline starts (Last slide)" - SCORM Cloud reports the quiz results and "complete" based on quiz scoring. My Results Slide is in it's own scene that is not linked to any other scenes or slides. I hope this helps others.
Hi Coline,
Thanks again for chiming in and sharing your advice and experience. That could certainly help someone that runs across this thread in the future.
this was the fix that I needed. Thanks for taking the time to share, MUCH appreciated :)
Glad to hear it, Greg! One of the many reasons we keep all these old discussions around.
