here is an old post about this issue being put through as a feature request - not sure if it has been or not...I can't find anything to support how you would do this.
I've been experimenting with white text on a white box.
Most of my users are on iPads, but some are desktop. I can see a cursor appear as I type on the ipad, but not desktop. Javascript may be a good workaround. I have no javascript skills

I'm almost positive I've seen some javascript somewhere here in the forums that enabled someone to do this, but can't find it...
