Hiding the layer not setting the values on the base layer - for mobile devices
Jun 02, 2016
Hi All,
I am stuck with a problem here. I have a page (link below) that is working fine on desktops but is failing on mobile devices (iphone or android). The gist of the problem is:
When the User clicks on the '+' icon on the page, a layer shows up for the User to select a color. After the color is selected on the popup layer, I have a trigger that sets the value on the base layer variable. So, you can select the same '+' symbol again and again and change your answer to that. It is working fine on desktops. If you view the same link on a mobile phone browser (iphone or android), after the page is loaded, try to select 'Pink' or any other color for the first '+' icon. Now, after the popup layer is hidden, select the same '+' icon and change your answer to something else. The new value is not getting populated on the base layer and the old value still remains there.
Any solutions or suggestions are highly appreciated ! Thanks ! Here is the link and the attached storyline with just one slide to replicate the problem.

I'd suggest simplifing things using custom states on your objects. Variables plus grouping is picky at best. States work better and faster in my experience

Hi, Raj -- Many thanks for your patience while I tested your file, and I can confirm that I am finding the same behavior when testing your course published for LMS via SCORM Cloud, as well. I'd recommend that our Support Engineers take a closer look to provide some additional technical insights, so please use this form to submit a case, and if you can provide your ticket number, I'll gladly follow along with their progress.
