Hello, I'm trying to see if I can enter a hot spot quiz question that has multiple hot spots on the one image instead of enter each selection as a separate quiz question. Anyone know if this is possible?
Ashley, thank you for this information; although I don't think it will still do what I want to accomplish. (I do think it will come in handy for future use)
I want to insert a photo that has different positions marked around a patient's bed (see attachment) then I want to ask the learner to click where the Primary Nurse would stand, and then where the RT would stand, the physician and so forth. I know I can make each of these their own hot spot question but I wanted for them to be in one if possible.
Hm, so you'll need to track the order they do it in? I wonder if a drag and drop question would work better for that - as you could have all the images of the different positions or even just text boxes indicating them and then drag them to the spots.
Thank you again...so I can use the bed image and drag the positions (as a text box) to that image?
Can you tell I'm new at Storyline? I actually am going to training on it in May.
Sharon

Each individual spot around the bed that you would like a user to drag something too would have to be it's own item, or you could place a transparent shape over those elements on your image and have the users drag to that shape. Did you review the drag and drop tutorial I shared? That should show you how to indicate in "form view" which drag item is associated with each drop target.
Thank you so much! Taken care of. I have finally gotten my quiz to work properly in the preview mode while in the quiz editor, but when I preview the module in Articulate the drag items do not appear and when I get them to appear they are not clickable to drag; any idea why not?
Are you testing the published content locally? If so, that may be a part of the issue you're running into as you'll want to test within the intended environment as described here.
I can try publishing it (for LMS) and see. It just seems strange that it would work in preview mode in the quiz, but not preview mode in Articulate. Thanks again.
What do you mean "preview mode in the quiz, but not preview mode in Articulate"? It should work in preview mode no matter what - and if you're viewing the published output there is the button to "view project" but that is viewing the published output locally, and unless you've published for CD we always recommend taking the published output and placing within the intended publish environment. So if you're publishing for LMS, you'll want to place within an LMS environment and if you're not ready to upload to your LMS you may want to use a site such as SCORM Cloud which is an industry standard for testing LMS content.
I am working in Articulate Studio 9 and when I am in the 'edit quiz' feature and do a preview of the quiz, the drag and drop works great, but after I 'save and return to presenter' and then do a preview of the quiz slide, the drag and drop does not work. So, I published the course to our LMS to see if it would work then and it does not; the picture of the bed/patient is there, but none of the drag items appear. I'm stuck it seems.
You originally posted this in the Storyline forums, so I shared information in regards to Storyline here.
I think at this point, we'll likely need to take a look at what you've got set up. You'll need to create a Presenter package as described here. You can share the file here in the forums, or send along to us here privately.

Afternoon Sharon,
Is it more than one correct hotspot? You may want to take a look at this article on how to simulate it within Storyline 1.

Hi Sharon,
Sure thing - you'll create them all as individual objects and you may want to take a look at the tutorial here on dealing with drag and drops.
Also, here are some general tutorials on using Storyline, so you may want to review those even before your training so that you're ready to go once there.
