I would like to create a trigger when a student does not click the hotspot after 2 attempts it automatically advances to the next slide. It would work in software simulations when I want them to click a certain button such as Sign In. If they do not click Sign In 2x the slide would advance. I currently use Captivate and can easily set this by number of unsuccessful attempts. Anything similar in Storyline?
Well, if you don't need any other onscreen hotspots or buttons to respond to clicks, you could put one big hotspot across the entire screen and use it as your "2x" counter through the use of a variable. If the learner clicks it twice, causing the variable to increase to a value of 2, then advance to the next slide.
