How can I create a mix between a survey and a knowledge check?

Jun 13, 2022

Hi!

I am building a course which starts with a general knowledge check. I want to present people with a list of statements and ask them to check which ones they think are true. This is to check their knowledge (if they check a lot of incorrect options, this means they need to pay extra close attention to the course!) but also for us on the back end of the course to see what the general level of knowledge is amongst the people who take this course. It would ideally look like one multipe response question that has 10-15 response options, and allows me to view how often certain responses have been selected. Do you know of any way that I could do this?

Our LMS is Moodle 3.9. I came up with some options, but haven't found one to meet my needs. When I set up a knowledge check in Rise, the results aren't communicated back to our LMS. When I set it up as a Quiz, I think I can only see whether or not someone got the correct answer, but not which answers they have selected. I might try using an external survey tool, but this won't look as nicely integrated, and might not allow me to indicate correct/incorrect responses. Is there a secret option that I am missing?

Help is appreciated!

Best wishes, Yvonne Verweij

Hello Yvonne and welcome to the E-Learning Heroes Community! ✨

Could you please confirm which authoring tool you are using? We can assist you further with that information!

The Knowledge check feature within Rise isn’t designed to send the data, as it’s simply to help the learner check their understanding before proceeding.

Depending on the authoring tool you are using, these articles can help you understand what Quiz data can be sent to an LMS.

Hope this can be of help with your course!
