How can I translate the Print Results text?

It concerns the standard text: Date/Time / Student Score / Passing Score / Result/ Question/ Correct Answer/ Student Answer/ Result/ Points Awarded

In another forum I see that you have to edit the Report.HTML file, but it is also possible without coding in an HTML file. I have no HTML Coding skills.

Hi Melanie!

While you cannot perform that function from within the project file, you can use this article to help you modify the report content in your published output folder.  Note, we can't support modifying published output, but this may be helpful!

I hope our brilliant community members can shed light on how to edit the language of the Print Results page.

I can see how to edit the result.html file after publishing, but of course that doesn't work for Review. One question I have though is why it is in English at all? In the Player, I selected Portuguese for the course language, so shouldn't that affect the Print Results output? It changes everything in the course (buttons, etc.) so why not that as well?

I even tried changing the html language to pt in the result.html file, but that still left everything in English. The only option appears to be edit every English text string in the file, save it separately, then replace the result.html file after publishing. Localizing is usually so easy in Storyline, so surprised by this exception.

Leslie, thanks for the reply. When you publish to Review, you can't edit the result.html file because it's on the server, not a local file that is available to edit. So you're stuck with whatever Storyline outputs (which is in English in this case). Here's a pdf copy of what I get without editing the file. You can see that all the headings and results except the questions and answers in my quiz are in English, even though I set the course language in the Player to Portuguese.

Hi Dave!

Thanks for clarifying! Yes, that's correct. Publishing to Review 360 doesn't include an output folder to configure. Publishing to the Web, LMS, and CD include a published output folder.

The course language is configured in the Player. You'll need to customize report.html since you're trying to alter the printed results slide.

I wish I could be more help with the coding piece!

I have it figured out and have the report.html file translated and edited and ready to go as soon as the course is final and ready for publishing. My only request would be that if I change the course language to something besides English, which changes the whole interface, that a printout of the result should be considered part of that interface and should be auto translated as well so the column titles and such are all in the selected language. Thanks.

Hi Dave, hi everyone, could someone share how do you translate that report.html file? I have tried to do that after I publish. I have opened "inspect" console, I have located the right lines to change, I have manage to actually change them, but the changes I make there are temporary, it is not possible (or I do not know how to do it) to save them and have the translations appear in the results page later on. Any advices?
