How do I change the numbers on my slides

Hi John,
Could you share a screenshot showing:
"The slides are in the order I want them, just not the numbers."?

I would like to see how the slide numbers are not in order.

It appears that the slide number will change if you click and drag the slides to change their placement order in Story View.
