How do I make the Player not exist at all?

Oct 12, 2021

Good afternoon everyone,

This is my first project I have created in Storyline 360, so I do apologize for the silly question. Right now the Player has a dark background behind it (see .png EAC Dark Player), but I would like to make it look like the other picture where there is white space (default player.png). I used Lectora 17 as a way to create the default player .png. Furthermore, I would like to remove the play button you are forced to press at the beginning and just start it on the slide as soon as you click "Launch". Is there anyway I can resolve these issues?

Hi there Scott, thank you for the reply. Is this because there is audio that is supposed to play on the first slide or is that the default no matter if you have media on the first slide or not? Just trying to see if there is a loophole or any way to bypass it besides using a logo.

Hello Vincenzo,

You are correct. It's due to the media being on the first slide. Current browser restrictions mean media has to be user-initiated. However, as the article Scott shared above indicates, if your slides are set to advance automatically without any interaction, media might not work since learners haven't given their browsers permission to play it.
