I have my quizzes limited to 3 attempts. If the user fails one attempt I want them to go back and retake it. How do I get the quiz and the score to reset themselves?
Are you using a Result Slide to track the answers? If so, you can enable the Retry Quiz option within the properties of the Result Slide itself. Take a look at the following:
Since this question was posed some time ago, I am having difficulty getting my questions to reset using QuizMaker 13 within Presenter/PowerPoint. If the user fails a question where I give them 4 attempts, when they click on Submit a dialog box apprears for them to retry the question. However, the choices do not reset. In this case, I am using a Matching Drag and Drop. I have had similar issues with Multiple Choice. The same issue occurs if they are given more than one attempt on the entire quiz. The questions will not reset.
Previous responses to this issue talk about setting the "properties" but I cannot locate any properties with this edition of QuizMaker. Any help is appreciated.
I have since figured out how to reset the questions for the entire quiz. However, if a particular question allows more than one try, the question does not seem to reset whether it is drag and drop, or multiple-choice.

I apologize Dennis, I thought that utilizing the free-form version and 'snapping' back when incorrect would assist you in what you were wanting to do.
This is the expected behavior of the multiple choice and matching drag and drop so that the user knows the last answer that was submitted and they can change for the re-try.
If you would like to see this handled differently, you are welcome to submit a feature request.
Makes sense for individual questions. Now that I understand the normal behavior, I can work with that.
Thanks for all your help, Leslie.

Hi Clint,
Are you using a Result Slide to track the answers? If so, you can enable the Retry Quiz option within the properties of the Result Slide itself. Take a look at the following:
- How to show the Retry Quiz button only when you fail a quiz
- Adding Result Slides - Scroll Down to Step 5

Hi Dennis!
Have you seen the documentation here on setting up those drag and drop questions?
Note: This question/documentation is for Quizmaker '13, not Storyline.
If you need me to take a look, please share your Articulate Package. If you cannot share here in the forums, please be sure to share here privately.
That was really not my issue.
