How much is too much?
Jul 12, 2012
I am beginning to develop a training course for new employees within my company. The plan is to go through the handbook and either have a screen recording or a tutorial of how to do each "chapter." I am debating on whether to have ALL of this information within one storyline file OR to have a basic table of contents and then link it to numerous other storyline files published online. The only thing I am wondering is if it will simply take too long to load the project if it is all contained within one file. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I think it all depends on how many chapters you have, and how long a tutorial for each chapter would take? Do you have an idea of how much total content you're looking to include?
We have been having around 10 or so slides per "scene" or chapter...but I would imagine the total training would take about 4-5 hours to complete all of the sections. I say this because the training over the phone right now takes approx. that long...
Smaller, digestible "pieces" is usually best these days for busy learners, especially those who work for an organization. We aim for 1-20 minutes "pieces" if possible.
