I'm diving into menu variables here . . . does anyone know the settings for when revisiting a menu slide how NOT to have its audio track play? At this point I've created TWO menu pages, one with audio and the other without as a workaround until I can become civilized with AS.
I was struggling with this issue, and started writing down the problem. The intent was to request help. While typing out the problem, I figured it out.
Something totally different. Is there a simple way to add a background music to my project. I have lot of voice-overs, and sometimes just a music in the background would add variety. Any suggestions would be super.
Thanks,
Simple, perhaps not... 🙃 But there's a lot of discussion here on how to set this up (go to the later pages and look for Owen's answers for SL3/360) That's for an entire playlist across multiple slides.
If you just want some slides to have audio, look at adding it in and adjust the volume levels down to lower than the normal/original. Here's some steps on how to change the volume on Storyline 3.
That's even better! That first post by Emily was built with Storyline 2 and has since been adjusted by members of the community for Storyline 3 and 360.

Hi VJ,
If the audio has already played out, you can set the slide property to return to its saved state upon revisit and it won't replay.
Or do you have continuous audio or audio the learner might have not waited to listen to that you want to stop from playing upon return?
Hi Val,
There is also a method described here to prevent the audio from playing again using a set of triggers and variables.
Hope that helps!
Thanks Ashley!
Hello,
I just tried this technique, and it worked. I followed these steps.
