Looks like Tracy is taking care of you here, but I wanted to pop in and share our tutorial on Slide Properties in case it was beneficial to you or someone else that may run across this thread.
Thank you for your help but this does not answer my question,
I want to remove the menu window all together not just remove the menu list of topics within it. That way my actual course screen will be bigger and use the entire space where the menu normally sits.
Do you have a logo in your course? I know this will still hold the side menu if so.
You can choose to have the menu display in the topbar right or left via player properties if you do not wish to have the side bar present. Check out this tutorial on how to do so.
Your story size remains throughout your course, so not sure if that's perhaps what needs adjusting.
Yes I do have a logo which I need to keep in the course but not of the screen recording slides.
I know you can change the menu to the left or right but it takes up the whole right or left side. Is there another option? I didn't see this explained in the link you sent.
Like Leslie says, it is the story size (see the link in her post) that determines how large your presentation is. If you add the menu, the menu is added to it. If you take off the menu, the story stays the same size.
If you've included a logo in your course, regardless of if you show the menu on that slide or not the overall sidebar will still be included in your slide based on the logo showing. There isn't a way to disable that for the individual slides - and you'll see information here on how the player features you add to your course will impact the overall size.

Open the slide,
Click the Slide Properties icon (the small gear beside the slide name)
Click the dropdown menu "PLAYER FEATURES'
Select "CUSTOM FOR SELECTED SLIDES"
Turn on/off what you need.

Hi Ashley--is this still the case in Storyline 360, that you cannot remove the logo/menu sidebar from an individual slide?
Hi Michele,
You can remove some player properties on a slide by slide basis using the slide properties:
You'll see that Menu is one, but Logo is not.
Let me know if you need anything else!
