Yes, you can attach the file in the Resources section of the player. From within the project, go to the Publish tab and select Player. You'll see Resources as an optional player tab. Check the box and choose where you want it to display, then select Resources (paperclip) from the menu at the top. From there you can add your file by clicking the paper/new icon at the bottom. Learners will see the Resources tab when in the course and click it to select attachments to download.

Can you trigger a download from a slide? Or is the only way to access download-able files the Resources link?
Yes, you can trigger a download from a slide by inserting a button and adding the trigger to it.
