Any way to keep a picture always showing on a fill in the blank question until the user hits submit without extending the timeline for a really long time?
Yes it is. But it's a 1 sentence question so I wanted to just set the timeline for like 5 seconds. Basically I just want the picture to show until the user submits their answer without having to set the timeline for a minute or so. Even if I do that if the user gets distracted and doesn't answer right away the picture will disappear anyway. There is no option to add a picture in the question format.
Never mind. I was looking for the picture place card on the form view. But then noticed the add media icon at the top of the page and that took care of it.
Items shouldn't be disappearing from the slide if they're set till show until end, and if you're only leaving the slide when the user has clicked the submit button it should remain there. If you're not seeing that, are you able to share a copy of your .story file for us to take a look at?
Hi Ashley That's what I thought. I first added the photo on the slide view because I didnt like that adding media from the form view automatically adds the zoom on the picture. I then just added the picture from the form view using the add media icon at the top of the page. When I just tried to duplicate my issue in order to send it to you it worked as it should. Maybe it was just a glitch. I have noticed sometimes if I've been working on the program for a long time sometimes certain things don't work. But if I close the program or even just quit for the day when I try it the next time it seems to work. I have a very fast computer with 24gb of RAM so I don't really understand why this sometimes happens. But it seems to be working now so I'm sorry I can't share the issue with you. Thank you for taking the time to contact me tho.
Thanks for the update, and we do recommend closing down Storyline (after saving) when not in use, as leaving the app open for an extended period of time is known to cause some odd behavior.

Hi Laurie
is the picture set on the timeline to 'show until end'?

I'm just glad to hear things are working again!
