I'm having an issue with Slide and Player triggers not functioning on a Slide with multiple layers. I have 3 slide layers: the first (base) layer has one button that shows layer 2. Layer 2 contains a button that shows layer 3.
I'd like the "Next" button to be disabled until layer 3's timeline is complete. So far I've tried placing the triggers in the base layer Triggers panel and also in layer 3's Trigger panel, but neither option is working. I have been successful with disabling "Next" on the non-interactive, single layer slides.
You could use a True/False variable that starts out as False and is set to True when layer 3's timeline ends. Then add a condition to the Next button so that it only jumps to the next slide when this variable is True. See attached a quick example.

Wow! Thank you so much Michael, your solution worked! I especially appreciated the sample file... you saved me hours of trial and error.
