Welcome to the forums! Perhaps you've found it by now, but if you click on the Player button on the Home tab, you'll open up the window where you can customize your player.
The Volume icon is checked on by default, but if you uncheck it, it will disappear from your player.
It seems like this is a global setting for the course. I would like to remove the volume button on just one slide with no audio. When I go into slide properties to customize the player, eliminating the volume button doesn't seem to be an option. Is there a way to do this?
The volume setting is global, but it sounds like you need the ability to turn it off on a slide-by-slide basis. I'll let our team know you'd like to add that setting to the "Player Features" section within Slide Properties. Thanks for your feedback!
Following. This seems like it should be the same as the Captions button. Even if it's enabled in the Player, it only displays on slides that have captions.
This is very annoying (and goes against accessibility and universal design best practices) to have a volume button on slides that don't have sound.
Thanks for the follow-up. We don’t currently have plans for this feature in our roadmap, but we’ll remain active in tracking this request and update this discussion if anything changes.
I have also been requested by a client to see if this can happen (hiding volume button in Player on certain slides with no volume) as a test learner was confused by it being there on slides that had no volume. Add my voice to the request to create this as a feature please.
Add this JavaScript to the slide in question: document.getElementById('volume').style.display = 'none'; Caveat: you have to turn it back on in the other slides w/ the same method.

Do you know if this has been configured as a setting yet? I would also only like to add the volume button to certain slides. Thanks!
Hi Megan,
Not yet! But we'll let you know here as soon as we have any more info.
Yes, how can this feature be added so volume button can be hidden for slides that don't have audio or video?

Any update here on this?
Hi Patrick!
Thanks for checking in.
We're continuing to monitor requests, but don't have any updates planned at this time. We'll notify this discussion if that changes.
