I'm having trouble setting up my triggers and conditions so that the learner has to view all layers (which contain objects/buttons) before being able to move on to the next slide. I know the way I setup my layers could have probably been done differently/more simply, but without having to redo everything, I'm hoping there's a way to achieve what I'm looking for. I've attached my story file for reference. Also, if someone can explain or show me using my story file how I could have setup my layers differently to streamline the development process, I would love feedback!
see if the attached works for you. I removed all the buttons on the layers and let the ones on the base layer come through - that way you don't need so many triggers - then use the hide layer to go back to the base layer.
I appreciate you taking the time to take a stab at this! However, this isn't quite what I'm looking for. The way you set it up, the next button shows up on each layer before all the rectangles/buttons have been visited. Is there a way to hide/disable the next button until all the rectangles change to a visited state? Currently, the next button shows as normal on each layer, and if I click the next button on any layer, it brings me back to the base layer.
The only reason I wasn't using the built in Next button was because I couldn't figure out how to make it appear only after all slide layers had been viewed. I tried creating my own Next button because I thought that might be the only way to accomplish this, but if there's a way to achieve this using the built in Next button, I'd love to just do that!
I added on to what Wendy had done a bit and added the Next button on the player instead. The Next button will be hidden at the beginning, but after each button has been visited you will be able to see the Next button. Is this similar to what you were wanting to achieve? It could be edited a bit if you are wanting the timeline to complete before the buttons are set as Visited.
This achieves the problem I was having with the Next button! The only thing is that I had the colors of the buttons setup in a way so that they were faded (disabled) until the button before it changed to a visited state. So, on each layer, the corresponding button showed as normal, while the rest either showed as visited or disabled. Do you know how I could achieve this? Also, how can I edit it to have the timeline complete before the buttons are set to visited, like you mentioned? Thanks so much for your help!
I apologize. I added the disabled states back in. So an easier way to have the timeline on the Supplier button complete would be as I edited in this version. I basically eliminated any Visited states - since the disabling of the buttons basically ensures the learner is advancing as you intend. This way, you simply set the Next button to appear after the "Supplier" layer timeline is finished. Storyline has so many ways of accomplishing things! Others probably have different ways too!

Hi Lindsey
I see you are using the Player Prev Button is there any reason you aren't using the player Next button?

Hi Shannon
thanks for taking up the challenge and helping Lindsey!
Thank you both for your help.
Shannon, this is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks again!
