How to Use a Motion Path with Size Change?

Jul 22, 2020

I am new to Storyline and finding the motion path feature doesn't work like I'm used to in other tools.   I'm trying to have a character walk across the screen and then move up a path toward a doorway.  As the character moves toward the door, I want it to shrink in size so it appears it is moving away from the viewer.

How do I accomplish this?  I'm having trouble adding multiple motions to one image and when I use the Exit animation Shrink, it will not work while the motion path is running.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

From what I've seen in the forums and elsewhere it sounds like Articulate needs to enhance the animation feature.  For as much as Storyline people bash Captivate, its animation tools are far superior.

Oh and please Articulate, fix the need for multiple instances of the Storyline software to be open to have multiple .story files open.  Take a look at Captivate's tab feature to see how it should be done.

Cheers!

Hi Michael!

Thank you so much for the feedback!

I found a few discussions that share ways to create a motion path and have the object shrink as it moves down the motion path. Here's a few links:
