HTML5 output: Shapes with gradients are rendered wrong

Feb 01, 2016

Hello everyone!
We have a problem with shapes and gradients in Storyline 2's HTML5 output (latest version).
If we want to use a gradient to create a glare effect the HTML5 output always looks like this: http://take.ms/JLk5L instead of https://monosnap.com/file/DLe249jsfaC06Q1NPJfTtlZemzD2Fa

Any solution for this bug would be highly appreciated. We have dozens of presentations that we would like to convert to HTML5 without having to edit every single slide.

A simple samle .story can be found here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2527185/Flare.story

Thank you very much! I already received an email support. Great turnaround!

Not perfect, but this will work for the time being. Thank you!

As a temporary workaround, you can opt to save the shapes (Gradient) as Picture and then reinsert them as images in Storyline. Here's how:

1. Open your Storyline project.
2. Right click on the Shape with gradient effect and select "Save as Picture" then select your preferred folder on your local drive.
3. Delete the Shape from your project.
4. Insert the resulting image to the Slide via Insert > Picture.
5. Publish and preview your project.
