Any solution for this bug would be highly appreciated. We have dozens of presentations that we would like to convert to HTML5 without having to edit every single slide.

As a temporary workaround, you can opt to save the shapes (Gradient) as Picture and then reinsert them as images in Storyline. Here's how:
1. Open your Storyline project. 2. Right click on the Shape with gradient effect and select "Save as Picture" then select your preferred folder on your local drive. 3. Delete the Shape from your project. 4. Insert the resulting image to the Slide via Insert > Picture. 5. Publish and preview your project.
