I can't use audio files in the Storyline anymore.

Nov 07, 2016

Hi everyone,

I need major helps for this problem.

I been using the audio files without any problem in the Storyline. And, since last week, I can't use any audio files. The one, I already put in storyline, is not loading and if I tried to put the new audio file, it is showing like a empty audio. All the image files are okay, only the audio has the problem. The audio is from e-learning brothers and others, I recorded in the Storyline so the files are applicated for storyline.

Thank you and let me know if anyone has any clue for what is going on.

Hi Diana,

Sorry this is happening, thanks for reaching out here about it! Are you seeing this happen only in one file in particular or is this happening in multiple files you work on in Storyline? If it's only happening while working in one specific file, importing your slides into a new file and working from that one may resolve this issue. If that resolves it, I would also recommend reviewing this article on preventing file corruption for tips on how to reduce your risk of this occurring again.

However, if this is happening across the board with any file you're working with in Storyline 2, I'de first like to verify that you're working locally on your computer as described here. If you're working locally and still seeing this happen, running a repair on your software may resolve the issue.

Keep me posted! If you run into any issues, you can also feel free to reach out to our Support Engineers directly by way of this form. You can let me know your case number here if you choose that route, and I'll be sure to follow along! :)

Thank you, Ali.

It is happening in all my audio files and the few of the files are slowely loading, not all the files.

But it takes long time to get that result. I'm not sure all the files are going to loaded eventually and how long is it going to take.

And, yes. I'm working locally on my C drive...

Thanks for letting me know, Diana! It sounds like this is an issue happening across the board for you in Storyline so I would recommend repairing your software to fix this erratic behavior.

If you run into any trouble or continue to see this happen after running that repair, it would be best to get in touch with our Support Engineers here so they can work with you to resolve this as quickly as possible. They are rockstars and you'll be in great hands! :)
