I'd like for my answer choices to return to their original position if the user has to attempt the activity again due to having incorrect responses. I'd also like for them to have three attempts at completing the activity.

Hi Brent,
You can set the number of attempts a person has to answer a question correctly by switching the Attempts setting in the Question Tools - Design menu. Here is a screenshot to help you out.
Regarding your question about drag items returning to their original position, here is a conversation giving some tips on how to accomplish that.
