ideas needed

Feb 16, 2013

I am fairly new to storyline so am still feeling my way through it. I want to test students who should know the telephone number to call for help in their place of work. The number they need to dial is 2222. I have a picture of a touch telephone and I have put a hotspot on each key which is attached to its own layer. I can add the key tone to each layer to simulate pressing the button. No problems so far...

What I'm not sure of is if I can set the slide to trigger correct answer layer after it is pressed exactly 4 times and set to show an incorrect answer layer  if they press any other combination.

If so that would be great...if i could set off a different slide each time the two is pressed that would be even better.

Any ideas on how to go about this would be appreciated.

Michael thanks for your advice yet again (I recall you helped me a few times on the captivate forum) I took your advice and switched to storyline which I am finding a lot easier. I still have to get my head around some of the more advanced interactions (hence the question) but this is a lot more intuitive and user friendly.

This is how I got around the problem (still need to add the voice answering the telephone) but otherwise it should be self explanatory

I will may try some of the ideas mentioned, however sometimes (particularly in teaching) simple is often best and I may just use it in its current state.
