Hi, I am using a large background image on the slide master (it's a very colorful JPG image of a store setting). The image turns completely black upon Preview; I published the project and the image is still black.
I removed the image from the slide master and pasted it on each slide - it's still black when I view the project.
Oh no, Denise. Sorry you're running into that oddity!
Does this happen with any .JPG file, or a particular one? Also, would you mind sharing the image of the store setting so I can try to replicate the behavior? You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by using this upload link.
I'll let you know what I see, and will delete it after troubleshooting. We'll sort what's going on here together!
Hi, Katie! Thanks for responding. I'll upload both the image that is turning black and the image I ended up using that actually worked. Perhaps you can see a difference between the two that is causing the problem.
Did you find a solution for this? I have some images that look fine when I am creating the slide but then when I hit preview or publish they have a black background around them. What can I do?
I see that you've connected with our Support Engineers and were working with my teammate, Lianne! It looks like Lianne was able to take a look at your project and offer a solution. Lianne is still available in your support case if you have additional questions.
Hello. Have we found a solution to this problem? I have encountered the same issue. I used a colorful image as the background for the master slide. But when I previewed it, the image is completely dark. Please help. Thanks.
We're not seeing this issue being reported by our other users anymore so there's a possibility that the incident is isolated. I want to ask a few questions to help clarify your experience:
Have you tried testing the behavior using other image files for the background?
If only one image file causes the black background issue, please share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening. We'll delete it when we're done testing!
