I have Studio '13 and Storyline 2 installed on my system and importing Engage '13 interactions into Storyline 2 are not working. I receive the error message "Engage not installed". I tried to read through all previous discussions but couldn't find no solution. Anyone to provide me an easy way to do this?

I wanted to first mention that replying to the forums via e-mail attaches your signature. You are welcome to pop in and edit if needed.
Secondly, does your Engage software work as a standalone or is there perhaps something awry with the install? You may need to conduct a repair on the software.
I wonder if there has been an update on this as I am having the same issue. Engage opens itself ok, and so does storyline, but when I go to import it says 'to import an interaction you must have engage installed on this system'.
Looks like you may be replying via e-mail, which does two things:
Does not allow your attachments to come through to the forums
Attaches your e-mail signature
So, be sure to click 'View' to pop directly into the forums and you can edit your previous reply if you need to remove that signature and then attach the .intr file as requested.
hang on, your story file wont open on my Storyline. Its odd because I checked for updates from home (no work firewall) which usually works. It shows update 10:1509.1408
However, you can still get this interaction into your course if you'd like by publishing the interaction and embedding it as a web object. Check out this helpful article.

Hi there,
I wonder if there has been an update on this as I am having the same issue. Engage opens itself ok, and so does storyline, but when I go to import it says 'to import an interaction you must have engage installed on this system'.
Any clues?
Oh no Darren.
You do have to have Engage installed and activated on your computer to import an interaction into Storyline.
Curious what version of Engage and Storyline you are using?
Engage '13 and Storyline 2. Both on the same machine. I already made the interaction on its own ok, but it just wont import.
Hi Darren,
Can we take a look at the Engage file, the .intr file? We can then see how it imports into Storyline 2.
Are you seeing an error message at all?

Hi Darren,
As long as Engage '13 is installed and activated, this should be working for you.
I appreciate you sharing your .intr file so that we can take a look and of course it imported as expected for me. I'm attaching the .story file.
It's interesting that your Engage seems to be working as a standalone, but Storyline is not seeing it.
Perhaps a repair of your software will help.

Well, now we might be getting somewhere Darren.
Storyline 2 is currently on Update 12 (since May 2017 actually).
If you use the link in this article, you can manually get that update. Perhaps that's the key to getting your files behaving :)
Umm err, maybe I have Storyline and not Storyline 2....
I'm sorry.. its Storyline 1... for some reason I had 2 in my head!
Well, that makes sense Darren.
Engage '13 is not compatible with Storyline 1.
