I am using goanimate and storyline to create my project. As of now i have been downloading video from goanimate and then importing the same in storyline. Is there any possibility to import the slides and charachters of goanimate to storyline so that saves me the process of downloading the video. Any other way which eases my current process are also welcome.
I don't know a lot about GoAnimate and how their output is produced, so I'd have to defer to the community for expertise there. I did find a few other forum discussions where users mentioned it and they're the same ones linked on the right hand side of this topic under "related content", so you may want to post in those or reach out to those users directly using the contact me button on their profile.
There is no way of exporting just the characters or backgrounds or any other assets from GoAnimate. You have to publish the videos and then import them into SL. What we have done in the past is reproduce some of the characters we have used in the videos in Illustrator so we can use only that character on a couple of slides. This was to maintain style consistency.
I need help on another thing. I know that in the player settings i can restrict the user to not return to the previous slides. However, I want to allow them to go back to previous slide just once or maybe twice at the most. How can i do it?
There isn't a built in way within the menu or slides to do that - but you could look at using variables to stop a user from seeing the slide more than once/twice. Perhaps you'll want to look at adjusting a number variable based on their first/second visit and then if the variable is equal to 2 or more, include a trigger condition to go to another slide based on that variable value.
Hey, when I import a Goanimate video in Storyline, the size of the video is different from the canvas size of SL. It just looks bad. Can somebody tell me how can I make this look better?
I'm not familiar with GoAnimate - but it looks to take up the width of the Storyline stage, just not the height?
You could look at adjusting the Story size of your Storyline project to ensure that they match or you could try to scale and stretch the video (the latter may produce undesired results of blurriness). If you adjust the story size, that'll be changed for your entire project.
