Importing text file for quiz questions
Jun 23, 2015
Hi,
I've put together a .txt file of quiz questions which I wish to import into Articulate Storyline to create a question bank. I followed the guidelines for formatting, and my questions appear like this:
MC
5
Which one of the following is the BEST description of a service request?
*A request from a user for information, advice or for a standard change | That's correct!
Anything that the customer wants and is prepared to pay for | Incorrect.
Any request or demand that is entered by a user via a self-help web-based interface | Incorrect.
Any request for change (RFC) that is low-risk and which can be approved by the change manager without a change advisory board (CAB) meeting | Incorrect.
With each answer choice on a separate line. However, when I try to import the quiz, I receive error messages which either say the questions were not formatted properly or that it is a graded question and must have a score identified. Has anyone else had this issue?

HI Katelynn,
I'm not sure what you mean by them all on a separate line? Here are the directions on how to import questions with the sample attached. You'll see that all the answer choices are on the same line.
If you're having difficulty could you share a copy of your Excel file here with us so that we could take a look at the set up?
Hi Ashley,
Thanks for your response. I actually did this as a text file and did follow the instructions from your link. I have attached the document here as well. Thanks :)
Hi Katelynn,
Thanks for sharing the file. There are extra spaces at the end of your score listing, and therefore it won't import correctly. You'll want to remove those spaces and then you'll be able to successfully import.
Please let us know if you need anything else.
