This is not an exhaustive list, but all of these are considerations you may need to consider.

With a subscription to Vimeo, you have a lot more options than you do with a free account.

With Vimeo, you  have a more vulnerable system - the success of your module is now partially dependent on the learner's connection to the internet, including their bandwidth. Of course, you can't deliver an offline version.

With embedded video, you have a lot more control over the way the video interacts with other objects, and with the slide timeline.

If you have large videos, other source hosting may be the only way around upload size limitations.
