I was wondering if I could insert a Word Document to one of my Articulate presentations much like I would for a quiz. It's a "how-to" manual and I don't want to copy and paste the 30+ pages of it. It's already formatted with a table of contents. Does anyone know if we can somehow insert a manual instead of converting it into a new scene within the presentation?
Can you not just put a link in to the Word file? That would allow them to download it and do with it as they please. I know that Articulate Presenter gave you the option of whether you wanted to embed the file with the presentation but I'm not sure about that with Storyline; I've never tried... I've always just linked them to a URL someplace that the client can access.
How do you add things to the resource tab. I need to either embed a document into my Storyline so when user clicks a button it appears or add it to the resource tab.
You can add attachments to the Resources tab as detailed here and then you'll want to ensure you have it enabled on the player for each slide from the player resources and also if you've enabled custom slide properties you will want to ensure the resource tab is enabled there as well.

You could add it as a resource to the Resources tab, or you could a JumptoURL/File trigger on a slide to connect to the doc.

Hi Brooke,
You can insert a link to a file (or a URL as Brett mentioned) using the directions in the tutorial here.
Hope that helps!
