I am trying to insert emojis into Articulate Storyline 3 on Windows 10, as described in the Articulate article: http://blogs.articulate.com/rapid-elearning/3-ways-to-insert-emojis/. Except, when I try to insert them, they are appearing as blocks instead of an actual font. Meaning Articulate Storyline doesn't recognize them.
We used emojis in our Rise courses which we learned in that same post. If I recall, the previous one showed emojis in Rise and the second one showed how to get emojis.
I assume that if you're getting those blocks that Storyline 3 doesn't support emojis. I just tested and get the same in Storyline 360.
Thanks! I had tried them in Rise without issue before I had even seen the article. Then I saw the article and thought I could put them into an AS3 course. Thank you for taking the time to try it.
Maybe a suggestion for an added feature? Emoji support in AS3?
Have you tried using any Unicode Characters? I tested myself (but I'm using a Mac/Parallels to access Windows, so I don't have an Alt key) but you could test these steps:
Press and hold down the Alt key.
Press the + (plus) key on the numeric keypad.
Type the hexidecimal unicode value.
Release the Alt key.
You can often look up the Unicode values or get a whole chart with a web search. I tried copying/pasting the emojis in using what I saw in the list, and Storyline showed it as the 3 rectangles as you mentioned. But figured it was worth testing out the Unicode if you can.
