Interactive button query

Hello all,

I am working on a touch screen for our department and am having a brilliant time, I've not used storyline before now but am getting to grips with it pretty nicely.

One thing however that I would like to do but haven't found an easy solution yet it to make the images that I have used as buttons do something when they have been clicked, change colour and fade out for example.

At the moment I am doing this by making the animation of the button on the connecting slide fade out etc, I am sure there must be a better way to do this by using 'button states' perhaps but have yet to work out how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
