Interactive Video Components, Expand and Picture-in-Picture

Apr 09, 2024

This maybe very simple, but I'm scratching my head.

I want to place interactive images over a video that move in coordination with the video.  With the new functions, expand and PnP, I have issues.  I can turn off the expand option, but now the PnP issue remains. The image remains on the screen, while the PnP drops to the bottom of the screen; that's a problem.

ALSO, we love the new transcript option, but it seems to be embedded with all the player controls, including the full-screen option.

Is it as simple as only using the player controls without the video options? What is the workaround? Please and thank you.

Any suggestions? Thinking

Hi BJ,

Happy to help!

Videos and images are two separate objects and there isn't a way to get the image to move in tandem with a video when the video goes into Picture-in-Picture Mode. The only way to ensure that your slide is viewed the way it is designed is to disable the video controls for your videos to prevent learners from activating Picture-in-Picture Mode.
