Hi, everyone. I uploaded a storyline 2 file for a client. When they downloaded it, they were unable to open it with the "invalid" message. Do they need to download it again to their desktop or is there some other easier way to send a client the actual storyline file?
Are you sending the published output or the .story project file? If you're sending the published output for them to download and view locally on their own machine, you'll want to make sure to use the Publish for CD option and then the Zip option in the "Publish Successful" window. Once the client downloads the zip file to their local drive, they'll need to fully extract the file and double click the launch_story.exe file to view the course.
If you're sending the .story project file itself for them to be able to view and make edits to, I would still recommend zipping the file before sending it as an added failsafe to avoid corruption or loss of resources. They'll still want to make sure to download it to their local drive before extracting and opening it.
I also wanted to let you know that replying via email includes your signature in the comment. You're welcome to pop in here and edit that info out if necessary. :)

I was sending it as a story file. I uploaded it to dropbox. Ok, in the future, I'll zip the files before I send them.
Thank you
