iPad auto advances a slide when it shouldn't

Jun 27, 2014

I have a slide that is set to advance By User, but when played on an iPad the slide auto advances after displaying it for a short time. The slide only contains text, two hyperlinks and a NEXT button. It has a trigger to Jump to next slid when the user clicks the next button. There are no other interactions on it.

I publish to Include HTML5 Output, Use Articulate Mobile Player on iPad, and Allow downloading for offline viewing. I'm using Storyline Update 5 1401 2415

Hi Colleen and welcome to Heroes!

Are you viewing the HTML5 output in Mobile Safari or viewing the mobile player version? Have you checked to confirm that the slide's properties are not set to automatically advance?

You may want to check into the following that could cause unusual behavior in Storyline:

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive).Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, includingfile corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.

Is it only happening on this file or all your .story files? Could you share a copy of the .story file with us?
