I have text box with directions for a drag and drop game which I want to pulse (like a marker would). Is there a ways to accomplish this without adding tons of off slide boxes which connect to triggers changing the text box state from glow to normal and back? The goal is accomplished this way, but it is pretty tedious for a long timeline slide and I wasn't sure if there was an easier way.
They do indeed matter. My experience during the beta is that the developers look at each and every feature request, bug report, etc. I've found Articulate to be extremely responsive.
Agree with Mike, the version of Storyline that was released was much more feature rich that the initial version. The developers listened to what we wanted, my experience is give them a real world application and they will listen
Sure, but there has only been one update with a small feature list released since the launch. Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely in love with this product, but I just haven't seen much fruition from the freature request post-beta.
I just hope it's not one of those request forms that companies ask you to fill out only to use the suggestions in the next full-priced version of the program.
I think the other thing to keep in mind is that no company is going to have update after update. It's not practical to roll out an update every month as each update would have to go through testing to make sure the fixes didn't break something else.
Not sure if you use other development software, but I think Articulate does a far better job with updates and listening to their customers than anyone else. For instance, remember that amazing Adobe CS5 that came out full of bugs? Guess what - you never saw an update to it. Instead, you got the opportunity to buy Adobe CS5.5 to fix the screw ups in CS5. *puke & barf* =-)
I've been with Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora, and many others and can say from experience, Articulate blows all the others out of the water when it comes to updates and feature requests.
Articulate staff - be sure to mail me that endorsement check soon. =-) hahaha

Hi Jennifer,
Unfortunately, there's not easy way to do this (none that I have found anyway).
I have requested a "Pulse" state a couple of times, it would be great if this existed as a default feature.
You could always submit a Feature Request, the more the merrier.

Do these feature requests really matter? It doesn't seem like the product is updated that often, though it would be nice considering its high price.

I would think that export for translation was quite a big feature that was added.
If you look through the forums at the feature requests last year most of these were realised in Storyline so someone was listening.
True. I suppose most of the features I've been thinking of are design features that wouldn't take priority over functionality.
They are prioritised based on the number of requests.
I have so many design requests including animations, instant alpha.
But I would be happier if the text editor was fixed and made more functional, and that undo would work as expected.
