Is it possible to develop a full test prep simulation with Storyline alone?

Aug 19, 2015

Hello all!

This is my first post and question. Currently, I’m in the process of developing a GRE test prep application, and believe that I MAY be able to bypass coding altogether with Storyline Articulate.

At first I thought that my prototype (a realistic GRE test application) could only be created by coding from scratch; however a friend introduced me to storyline articulate and now I am curious if this software could create the test prep program I’ve been planning. The program itself is actually fairly simple, based on lots of parameters the application would generate test questions from an extensive database containing questions. So my question is something like this possible with Storyline alone?

Also has anyone ever encountered a similar test prep or Storyline product developed for direct private consumption?

Hi Tom!

Hopefully if anyone has any experience with what you are asking they will chime in to assist.

You can import questions into Articulate Storyline to save development time. This is especially helpful when subject matter experts draft questions for you. To learn how to import questions from a Microsoft Excel workbook and a text file, see this tutorial.

Question banks are containers for question slides. You put questions in, then draw them out when you need them. Reuse questions as often as you'd like throughout your course. See the tutorials listed here to learn how.
