Storyline only supports a few animations. One workaround is that I have used PowerPoint 2013 to export as movie a slide with animation. This gives me an mp4 file that I then import into Storyline. I think more animations in Storyline is a very popular feature request.
Thanks!! Yes, I just found that and it worked great!
I need to find the post (that Tom did sometime back) of how to duplicate the "stopping point" of the motion path on the next slide to create my background image and continue building my ongoing interaction in Storyline.
Hi Jami, not all the animation options in PPT are supported in Storyline. If you are using animations that are supported in Storyline (Fade In, Fade Out, Fly In, Fly Out, Grow, Shrink etc.) then all you have to do is use the Import PowerPoint option in Storyline to import the PPT slide into your project. The PPT animations should carry over to Storyline.
If you are using things like motion paths or other unsupported animation types in PPT they will not work in Storyline when you import the PPT slides. In these cases, the only thing I can suggest is that you use the save as video option in PPT (2010 or above) and save the animations as videos and then import them into Storyline as videos.
