Is there any way to get reporting of quiz scores in 'publish to web' format?
We need to provide iPad viewing and have found that although SCORM does not work (will not load) in our LMS (moodle 1.9.4) if we publish to web, the uploaded storyline content can be viewed in iPad.
We need to see how students are doing in the quizzes in this content.
Does anyone know of a (simple!) way to provide this function at all?
Moodle 1.9.4 is over 4 years old - SCORM in 1.9.4 was really unreliable and had a range of different issues - if you want to use SCORM you should upgrade to a recent supported release (ideally 2.3 or higher)
1.9.4 also contains a range of published/known security issues that could allow a malicious user to seriously compromise and damage your site.
Feel free to drop me an e-mail if you want any further information or if there is anything I can do to help you with your upgrade process.
Thanks for your replys Dan and Nicole, though my question was to ask if reporting was possible when publishing to web, rather than LMS
The SL publish to LMS does not work for moodle - it will not load.
SCORMs created in other software load and play without issue for us, it is just SL published ones which do not, hence using the publish to web option which will load and run on iPad.
I use 1.97 still and the way I have done this is to embed a moodle quiz as a web object within the storyline file and use that quiz for my tracking. I have the web storyline file in a course in moodle so they have to be logged in to access it and then when they get to the web object they do the quiz within the storyline window and the results are captured. They can then carry on within the storylline file never leaving it so it is almost seamless.
but you are really wasting your time trying to use SCORM in older Moodle releases - SCORM in Moodle is very buggy in versions prior to Moodle 1.9.12- you should really put some effort into upgrading to a more recent stable release - before a hacker decides your site is an easy target.
I use SL with Moodle 1.9 and 2.5 and scores are recorded in Moodle LMS. There are browser issues with Internet Explorer 9 however which has to be used in compatibility mode.
Thanks for that Nick - can I ask are you able to view your publish to LMS SL files on iPad on either Moodle version?
We need the iPad viewing and the only way we have got this to work is by using publish to web.
Be good to know if anyone else has been able to publish for LMS via SL and got it to view in Moodle on an iPad (we are using the dual publish html5 option but it does not load)

Thanks for that idea Tim, I will certainly try that out
Though I would be sorry to lose the interactivity I have worked so hard to learn to use in SL quizzes, to go back to Moodle quiz to be honest :-(
I guess I will have to decide which is more important, if reporting is not possible in SL publish to web .
We are committed to providing iPad viewable content - which was our primary reason for purchasing SL, so the LMS publish option is out for us till a fix is found (Articulate Support have confirmed it does not work in Moodle at present.)

Hi there Debbie..
You may want to check out this past forum discussion: Storyline course completion not tracked if viewed on iPad, as well as: Storyline + iPad + Tin Can + Moodle solution?
Looks like using Tin Can might be a good solution for you. Let me know if this helps. Thanks!
