Hi everyone, I am following along with the webinar "Using dials to create menu navigation in Storyline 360".
When I have followed the steps and built my own version, my slider does not work the same way as it does in the demonstration. The images do not line up or appear at the same time. This results in 2 images appearing on the slide at the same time.
I have checked everything I can think of and checked my slider settings against the demo version provided and they are the same so I can not work out what I have done wrong.
I have attached the mock up I have made, if anyone can shed some light on the issue I would be very grateful. Thank you.
I was able to fix your project file by changing the variable that your slider used from 'Dial 1' to 'Picture 1' which from my testing showed was the variable that was changing in value. I also changed the variable that your triggers were referencing to the correct one.
I noticed that the reason why the slider in your project file was not moving was because it was referencing Dial 1, which had a value that was not updating when the menu was rotated. To summarize, the main reason why the background image in your slide was not moving was because of incorrect referenced variables.
I have attached an edited version of your project file with the triggers and objects now referencing the correct variable.
