issue with questions slides
Oct 07, 2016
I am having a issue when creating my questions slides.
I have adjusted the master question slide layout and feedback layers for my questions for my project. When I insert my questions and multiple choice answers and preview the question slide my text is doubled and animates oddly on the slide. Iam not sure what I did or how to fix this issue.

Do you see multiple objects on your timeline? Can you post the file you've been working with versus screenshots?
I don't see duplicates on the timeline. looks like it showing object from the questions master slide. But I am not really sure. I have attached my storyline file.
Hi Melissa,
It looks like you've got double animations on this - from the master slide set up and then the question slide itself - so it's causing it to appear with the overlap and duplicating it. It's not what I'd expect as they technically don't exist twice, so I'd look at removing the animations from one of those and see how it behaves then. We've seen similar things start to look wonky when using the "fade" animation on question choices as well, which is something our QA has been tasked with looking into - so you may want to play with the different options and see if it behaves better for you.
Ashley,
That helped. It looks like I can fade the question choices in as one object but when you select by paragraph that is when it gets a little wonky. I think just changing it to as one object did the trick.
Thank you.
I am also having an issue with the close button on the feedback layers working. do buttons created on feedback slides work on any layer you apply them to?
Hi Melissa,
If you've got a button on a feedback layer, (from the slide master or otherwise) it should work if you've applied it to that layer, but if you look at the built in feedback master you'll see the button exists on the feedback master but the trigger is on the slide layer itself as you need to tell it which layer to close.
