Issue with SL2 course not bookmarking/tracking on OLM
Feb 13, 2017
Hi everyone
I've got a bit of a serious issue with my course not tracking on the client's LMS. I have tested on ScormCloud and Cornerstone On Demand and the course tracks perfectly, however on the Oracle LMS (OLM) it does not bookmark at all and the course restarts.
I have also noticed that when testing the course offline in IE 11 the course does not bookmark as it should. I have also tried changing the review setting in the "Configuration.js" file to try stop the course from going into the review mode.
I have tried to find answers in other threads but was unable to find any. If anyone could get back to me with any sort of advice that would be great as my client needs to go live soon.
Thanks in advance!

Hey Stephen!
Thanks so much for reaching out here, sorry that you're encountering that.
If you choose Prompt to resume or Always resume, and if you'll be hosting your content in an LMS, do one of the following:
Since you mentioned that bookmarking is working properly when testing in SCORM Cloud, it seems likely that it's specific to your particular LMS. I would recommend reaching out to Oracle LMS for verification of whether they support bookmarking, or perhaps other members of the community here with Oracle experience will be able to chime in with some insight as well!
Hi Ali
Thanks for the response, we've since uncovered that OLM has never bookmarked or tracked Storyline courses and the client has logged a ticket with Oracle about this issue.
I think the using the Flash Cookie might work with some browsers on their side but IE 11 seems to be kicking up a stink lately.
If anyone else in the community knows of a work around with Oracle that would be great!
But thanks again for the help!
No problem, Stephen! Thanks for the update and be sure to keep us posted here with how everything turns out. Hopefully some of our community members may also be able to pop in and shine some light on that. :)
