Take a look at this screen recording I made while viewing your course in Chrome v.64. As you can see, the slide objects do not disappear when I close the layer. By the way, the audio is working fine, but I had it turned down for the recording.
What version of Storyline did you use to create this content, and web browser were you using when you noticed this problem?
Thanks for taking a look! I am on Chrome Version 63.0.3239.132. I built this in Storyline 360.
I just updated my Chrome and it seems to be working, so I will blame this on a browser update! Let me try it with the person who brought it to my attention and the student she spoke with to see if it works on their end.
