It finally happened

The dreaded moment just happened. I went to look for my source files, and they are no longer on my Storyline desktop. I have checked throughout my computer and have even determined the last time I "touched" this course. I searched for all .story files and nothing. I thought that maybe I had renamed them somehow and opened the files that should have been the course and they were not them.
I did finish the course in January and loaded it our LMS, but I need to make a few tweaks to the course.
I wish there was a way to take the published files and covert them back to source files. Just looking for any direction/help..besides the obvious one.... say goodbye to those files. :(

Hello Hilary,
Unfortunately you cannot open the source file from the published output files. Did you happen to make a backup of the files on any servers? Possibly check the recycle bin? Hopefully you will be able to locate the .story file.
