Japanese language collapses

Hi, I am using a trial version of Storyline.
It is said that Japanese language is supported, but actually it collapses in the software thus not usable.
My environment is Windows 7 Enterprise, 64 bit
Issue: Japanese language collapses
It displays a vowel correctly, but when it comes to the combination with a consonant and a vowel (this is how I input Japanese), it collapses in at least some fonts. (I don't want to check with every font...)
I'd appreciate an advice on how to fix this issue.
Thanks.

Hi Shoko, you state it happens using certain fonts. What if you just use the default font? Is it OK then?
Thanks Jeff,
I tried the default font but it didn't work, so I tried other fonts which didn't work as well...
Hi Shoko,
I've seen this problem before as well. What I've found is that if you use Unicode type fonts Storyline works much better. There are a few of them around; you may already have Arial Unicode. Google and Adobe have collaborated on an excellent set of free Unicode fonts that cover just about every language (including CJK) and they come in a variety of weights from thin to black. The Google version is called Noto Sans and Adobe's version is called Source Pro (I believe). I believe they are the exactly the same
You can find out more and download Noto Sans directly from Google by clicking here. There is also a Noto Serif font but I don't think there are CJK versions yet.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Hi Shoko and welcome to the Heroes community!
We do support Japanese fonts, and Windows may use Simsun as the default font. Although Simsun font publishes fine in Storyline, you'll get even better results if you change the font to Arial Unicode MS. Do you know what font you were using to set up the Japanese language?
Ashley beat me to it. We always use Arial Unicode for non western languages.
Shoko,
Just to follow up, the Adobe CJK version of this font is Source Han Sans. I have used it and it works great for me in Storyline. It is free open-source OpenType font. More info and to download click here. Very nicely designed font with lots of weights (and much more flexible and prettier IMHO than Arial Unicode).
