I'm encountering concerns with my IT department about continued performance of Articulate given its reliance, at least in part, upon Java, as Java is being discontinued. That's the extent of my understanding of the issue. My question:
What is Articulate's plan for continued performance and (probable?) transition away from Java?
Which Articulate tool are you using to author your content? Java isn't a required option for authoring in our tools, but your learners will need a Javascript enabled browser as noted in the system requirements for Articulate 360 tools under "Viewing Requirements."
no, not Flash. I know that's going away and I figure I'll just publish everything as 'HTML only' and should be fine there. I don't have a library of material so nothing's in danger there.
I'm mostly using Storyline. I didn't realize the difference between Java and Javascript. So now back to my media team to inform them of the mix up and hopefully have a more enlightened conversation.

Let me know if you need further clarification!
Adding this for others who may see the thread:

I did not know of that difference. Thank you.
Thanks for that page, super helpful.
