Jump to previous
Jan 11, 2017
Hi everyone,
I've read several posts on the "jump to previous slide" trigger. I'm not quite sure how it actually works, as it does not behave the same way on all modules I publish.
Here are two examples :
1) I have a complex module with branching. For this module, when I use the "jump to previous slide" trigger, it returns to the last slide viewed.
2) I have a linear module (7 slides). For this module, when I use the same trigger, it returns to the "real" previous slide in the slide hierarchy, and not to the last slide viewed.
Would you know if this is a normal behavior?
Thank you,
Céline

Since number 2 is linear, the "real" previous slide IS the most recently viewed slide. If that isn't the case, it is not a linear module.)
So number 2 is doing exactly the same thing as number 1, which is how Articulate designed SL.
Yes, normal behavior.
Thank you for the confirmation Walt!
So I will remember that branching influences that in a way. I used to work with Adobe Captivate where the two options were clearly differenciated ("previous slide" and "last slide viewed" options were both available), so I need to adjust.
Hi there Celine!
I wanted to welcome you to E-Learning Heroes! It looks like Walt has pointed you in the right direction here. Please do reach out if you need anything further!
